Negative Reviews
negative:
Remote location.
Although situated in the centre of a National Park some guests have felt that it is too rural and therefore quite secluded.
negative:
In need of refurbishment.
Some of the public areas and bedrooms are starting to look past their best and are in need of a refurbishment. Décor is quite traditional and whilst some guests think that this adds charm others think that it makes it look rather dated. There have also been reports that some staff need extra training due to inexperience, disorganisation and rudeness.
negative:
Some rooms are better than others.
Rooms within the main building have received better reviews than the rooms in the cottages which guests have said are more like converted stable blocks. It has also been recommended that rooms that have been empty for a few nights are inspected before guests are checked in as they start to gather dust and cobwebs between stays.
