Arguably the best located hotel in Bakewell.
In terms of location, there cannot be many hotels better located in Bakewell. Rutland Arms is slap-bang in the centre of town, making it ideal for those who want easy access to the town’s many pubs and quaint shops.

Spacious rooms.
Rutland Arms is housed in a grand building dating back to the early 19th Century, and it shows in the size of the rooms which are very spacious. If the reviews are anything to go by, this certainly helps guests feel more comfortable during their stay.
positive:
Free parking is very handy.
Parking in any of the Peak District’s busy market towns can often be a challenge, both in terms of finding a space and in terms of cost. As such, it is very handy that Rutland Arms offer free parking to their guests. The convenience certainly goes down well.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No lift could present a problem for some.
The style and design of Rutland Arms means, unfortunately, that there is no space for a lift to be fitted. As such, some rooms on the upper floors of the hotel might be unsuitable for guests with mobility problems.
negative:
Plenty of street noise on an evening.
The excellent location of Rutland Arms does have one drawback. Because it is right in the middle of town, guests can hear street noise during the evening and into the night, be it from people or passing traffic. This has caused a disturbance for some guests.
negative:
Very busy at breakfast time.
Breakfast time is reported to be a busy time at Rutland Arms. While on the one hand this is indicative of a decent breakfast, it is also said that breakfast can take a while to be served, which does represent an annoyance for some guests.
