The Kings Head, in the beautiful and historic village of Wye, nestled at the foot of the Kent Downs is definitely the place to be. According to the Sunday Times’ 2012 annual list of the best places to live in the UK, Wye ranked at number three, we can certainly see why! Extensive renovations have seen The Kings Head bought back to life as a multi award winning inn. Combining comfortable coffee shop lounging with relaxed restaurant dining, and cozy guest rooms; the newly transformed Kings Head is bringing a slice of modern style and flavour to this grand old building. The guest rooms are contemporary and cozy, bringing together classic panelling, reclaimed, and retro furniture, and citrus bright soft furnishings. The seven guest rooms all have a calming ambiance, with simple decoration, and white bed linen. Each room has a flat screen digital TV with DVD player, DAB radio/alarm, and tea and coffee making facilities. Our multi award winning restaurant (Top 50 UK Gastropubs 2017 & Kent Life pub of the year 2017/18) is the place to eat and be seen. Provenance and seasonality of produce, brought together by our talented chefs make for an outstanding but relaxed dining experience. Early mornings give the opportunity for both residents and locals to relax with the day’s papers, a full English breakfast and a freshly brewed coffee, or just slice of the Chef’s cake selection and a take away latte Lunch is served ‘til 3.00, and dinner continues from 6.00 until late, while all day dining on Saturday and Sunday makes for a great weekend in beautiful surroundings. For trips further afield, the channel crossings at Folkestone (Eurotunnel Le Shuttle), and Dover (Ferries by sea) are only 15 minutes, and 30 minutes away respectively. Nearby, the historic city of Canterbury is only three stops (20 minutes) by train from Wye's own railway station. Or hop to London from Ashford international (10 minutes away) in little over half an hour on the high speed line.
