Although close to numerous restaurants, the hostel is located a couple miles from the beaches, main shopping areas, and historic landmarks of Tulum. Travellers who want to explore the area will likely have to rely on costly taxis or bike rentals.

Guests found the concrete tube design of the rooms to be interesting but stated that the execution was not that great. The tubes were said to be cramped, lacking room to put things like luggage, and chilly at night due to air conditioning in such small spaces. Some added that the limited accommodations simply weren't a great value compared to other nearby hostels.
