About The Portobello Hotel
The Portobello Hotel is a boutique hotel located on a quiet street in the heart of Notting Hill.
Each of the 21 bedrooms is individually designed and all include flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, Nespresso machines and full-size Green & Spring products. Some have four-poster beds, separate sitting areas, free-standing baths and exotic wall-to-wall murals.
Created from two converted neo-classical mansions, The Portobello Hotel has an impressive entrance and high ceilings throughout. There is a sitting room for guest use, views over Stanley Gardens and free Wi-Fi.
Complimentary breakfast is served in the sitting room and a full cooked breakfast may be provided for an additional charge. The sitting room also operates a well-stocked honesty bar and light snack menu in the afternoons and evenings.
Portobello Road and the famous antiques market are a three-minute walk away, while Kensington Gardens and Palace are 15-minutes from the hotel.

positive:
Tranquillity in the heart of Notting Hill.
The hotel has recently changed hands and, while you can be assured that it retains its quirky, romantic atmosphere and English country-house elegance, new luxury details have been added and old ones refreshed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Bathrooms on the small side.
Several previous guests have suggested that the bathrooms, and showers in particular, are on the small side. They are clean with modern fixtures, however, and most guests find them adequate for their needs.
negative:
Unimaginative menu.
A light snack menu is served in the sitting room, but the options are limited and, some may find, unimaginative. The room minibar, on the other hand, is another matter entirely; with one reviewer described the contents as Willy Wonka-esque.
negative:
Keeping valuables safe.
There is no safe in the room and, while reception will be happy to store your valuable items securely, you may prefer to keep these close to you.
