Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific location near the beach
The hotel is virtually right on the beach. Guests described the beach as especially lovely, being situated in a sheltered cove, and clearly appreciated being able to just stroll down to the sand whenever the mood struck.
positive:
Peaceful and quiet atmosphere
The hotel is not really in Ibiza Town itself but some way to the west. Being situated in a remote spot in a sheltered bay meant that the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed than it would have been in town. Those who are seeking a serene atmosphere will likely be happy there.
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
Again and again guests mentioned that the staff were particularly friendly, with the patience and professionalism required to be able to help their guests in any situation that arose.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Spotty Wi-Fi
Unfortunately, Cala Vadella could not seem to escape the curse of the poor hotel Wi-Fi. Like in many other hotels, its Wi-Fi system was said to be very unreliable, with connections being dropped every now and then, causing much frustration.
negative:
Rooms a bit too basic for some
While not a universal complaint, a few guests did find the decor just a bit too basic for their taste. While they conceded that they were sold as fairy basic holiday apartments, they felt they could be much improved with just a little bit of extra effort.
negative:
Limited public transport to town
The hotel is some distance from Ibiza Town, and guests without a car did feel a little trapped. It was said that public transport options were quite thin on the ground, and naturally taxis were quite expensive.
