Positive Reviews
positive:
Traditional Turkish breakfast.
Many guests are complimentary about the breakfasts on offer at Navy. A buffet-style affair, you can pick and choose from the selection as you see fit. In addition to the traditional Turkish offering, a chef is on standby to cook eggs to order. Omelettes, pancakes, scrambled or fried; take your pick.
positive:
Meticulously clean rooms.
Rooms are kept spotlessly clean and linen is changed daily. Overall, standards of cleanliness are high.
positive:
The personal touch.
In contrast to many large, chain hotels in the area, the Navy hotel is small and friendly and guests feel that the service provided is much more personal. The majority of guests to the premises are returning guests; testament to the welcoming atmosphere.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Compact pool.
Despite recent renovations, the hotel pool is small yet perfectly formed. Many guests find it entirely adequate for their needs, however, and, as the hotel is not a large one, it is rarely full. Guests should note that chlorine is not used in the pool- with salt the hotel's chosen method of cleaning.
negative:
Step back in time.
Some guests have suggested that the music played around the pool area is a little dated. Anyone spending the day by the pool will be subjected to the selection for an extended period of time and it may not be to everyone's taste.
negative:
Communication failures.
Several guests have commented upon the lack of information provided at check-in, with some left bewildered about where facilities are and the times for breakfast and dinner. A detailed information pack or more proficient check-in process would simply solve this issue.
