Musicland Hotel (Palm Springs, USA)

The rooms at Musicland are spacious and comfortable. Guests appreciated the strong air conditioner, especially with Palm Spring's desert heat. Those staying in the suites loved the full kitchen.

Musicland is centrally located in downtown Palm Springs, only one mile from "The Strip" and guests appreciated being able to get around town easily. There is plenty of great dining and shopping within a short drive from the hotel. In addition, the hotel is conveniently placed near the free city shuttle stop, and not far from the Aerial Tramway.

Make sure to pack a swimming suit so you can enjoy the water. Guests loved the spacious outdoor pool area and large hot tub, with lounge chairs as well as seating areas.

Some of the rooms have recently been refurbished but many guests still ran into rooms that could use minor renovations and cosmetic touch ups. Several guests mentioned stained bed linens and a musty odor in the rooms. Other guests were bothered by the lack of closet space, limited counter space in the bathroom, and would have preferred more towel hooks in the bathroom.

Though most guests didn't have a problem, some guests thought the walls in the hotel were too thin and claimed they could hear their neighbors' conversations and the hum of street traffic. If you're a light sleeper, it's a good idea to bring earplugs as a precaution.

Housekeeping can be inconsistent in their cleaning. Guests reported missed cleanings or having only half of their room cleaned. In addition, visitors have noted that the pool patio tables are not always cleaned regularly in the off season, and get can pretty dusty. Fortunately, the hotel staff is quick to resolve any mishaps.
