The rooms are well furnished and decorated and feature all the amenities you’ll need for a great stay, including a TV and air conditioning. Each room has its own natural fireplace, ideal for those frosty winter nights. Summer guests will really appreciate the hotel’s outdoor pool and the plentiful sun beds surrounding it. On a more practical note, motorists have ample onsite parking and the Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and free of charge. While there are no dining facilities at the motel itself, it has partnered with a number of local restaurants to give customers special deals, including Papa Luigi’s for Italian food lovers. Energetic winter travellers will want to grab their skis and boards and head for the slopes at Mont Olympia, just two miles from Motel Le JoliBourg.
Guests seemed pretty happy with the location of the motel, saying that there was a good variety of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby, allowing them to meet all their practical needs without having to hop in the car and travel for miles. It was also mentioned that the area's ski hills were just a short drive away.
To say that winter travellers were happy to find a working natural fireplace in their room would be significantly understating the matter. They absolutely loved it. It seems that, Physics aside, all heat is definitely not created equally, with guests really appreciating the heat and ambiance of the fire.
Those travelling in the warmer months really seemed to appreciate having the pool available, since it allowed them to cool off after what might have been a long hot day.
This was perhaps the most common criticism. Guests simply felt that the rooms were looking well past their best, and desperately needed a makeover in order to remain competitive.
While it is true that mattress firmness is very much as matter of personal preference, there were perhaps too many guests complaining about hard mattresses to put down entirely to this.
It seems that a number of guests were under the misapprehension that all the rooms had hardwood floors, which is what they wanted for hygienic reasons. Some were disappointed to find, on arrival, that some rooms are actually carpeted and that they were allocate one of these rooms.
