Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly staff engender a very pleasant ambience.
Many guests have noted that there is always a nice, pleasant ambience 'floating around' the Monarch. This is in no small part down to the efforts of the industrious, cheery and ever-so-friendly guys and gals working here who frequently go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests have a good time.
positive:
Great location.
Just a short walk away from the town centre and harbour, and literally right across the road from the prom, beach and Spa Royal Hall; this hotel really couldn't be more conveniently located.
positive:
Views are a real treat.
Look out from the first-floor public areas, or from your guest room if you're lucky enough to have one with an east-facing window and you'll see some mighty fine vistas of the dramatic North Sea. You can even hear the waves crash into the sea wall when the weather starts blowing a gale!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Plumbing can be a little noisy.
A number of guests have noticed that the toilets in some guest accommodations make a rather unwelcome set of noises after flushing. If you hear anything untoward in your WC after you're 'done' then don't panic, the gurgling will fade away eventually...
negative:
Interiors look a little dated.
Whilst older guests may look upon the Monarch's interiors with a degree of nostalgic charm, younger visitors are likely to regard them as being somewhat out of date.

Breakfasts aren't the best.
The brekkies here aren't known for being the most substantial or best quality offerings in Bridlington. Fortunately, there are plenty of eateries within walking distance that are able to conjure up tasty, good value morning meals.
