Convenience stores in the area include Cairo Market and there is a good selection of restaurants too. These include Nipa Hut Bar and Pizzeria Mashka.

The pool is small but the kids love it. The laundry facility is next to it, so mum can do the washing whilst the kids play. OK, there's an obvious downside, but there are advantages too.

It's noticeable that staff are still cleaning public areas and corridors well into the night. If you fancy 40 winks and put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, they'll respect your request and come back later to clean the room.

The park shuttle service could be much better. It only goes - and returns - once a day so, boy, it can be crowded! If, though, you want to stay there into the early evening, prepare to make your own way back.

The fact that rooms are cramped deters cleaners from doing a thorough job, with floors suffering most. Dirt and dust accumulates and it's obvious that the vacuum cleaner is a stranger in these rooms. They don't like changing bed linen either and have to be prompted to do this by the resident guest. Staff are working at a disadvantage though as the place, generally, (*and TVs in particular) would benefit from an upgrading program.

If at a loose end and a bit bored, it's worth hanging around in the lobby area and see just how objectionable the staff can be to innocent guests. It's certainly not a 'one off' occurrence. On one level, it makes for an entertaining diversion but, of course, nobody should be spoken to like this.
