Positive Reviews

A great first impression.
Guests were wowed by newer sleek and modern rooms that were in good shape. Several commented that accommodation had adequate space, and was well planned and functional. If you're looking for an attractive room during your stay, this is a good bet.
positive:
Sports-centred location.
Guests were pleasantly surprised to discover that the train station was within walking distance, and the Commerzbank Arena was right next door. This hotel was also convenient to the EF Football Stadium & Sports Academy, as well as the Sports Medicine Institute, so if your stay is sports-related, you're all set.
positive:
Restaurant worth a try.
Those who stopped into the restaurant for a bite to eat were glad that they did. While selection was sometimes limited, food was always reported to be satisfactory. A highlight for many was the delicious breakfast, well worth the small additional cost.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Planes, trains and automobiles.
Several guests had negative remarks about outside noise. While located beside a forest, Lidner Hotel & Sports Academy was also close to transportation hubs. This meant that it was easy to get to places, but noise from the nearby train station, airport and motorway were also sometimes a nuisance.
negative:
A slow process.
Some guests warned that checking out of this hotel would take awhile. Staff weren't as efficient as they would have liked, and those in a hurry found that service seemed particularly tedious.
negative:
Not much around.
It seems the location of this hotel certainly has its strong points, but many guests failed to come up with a positive assessment of things to do in the immediate vicinity. If you're looking for shops, restaurants and amenities nearby, you won't find it here.
