Positive Reviews
positive:
Decent value for simple, old fashioned quarters.
Weber was generally found to offer decent value for money, thanks to what were said to be simple, clean and cosy rooms sporting old fashioned decor. On top of this, you can reportedly make use of handy parking spots for a fee.
positive:
Central Cologne exploring, dining and nightlife.
Guests considered this hotel to be reasonably central for the Cologne city centre, the old town and Cologne Cathedral, the train station is also easily accessible, and all of the tourist attractions are within walking distance. Furthermore, a wide range of restaurants, cafes and nightlife were found nearby, as well as trams to access any spots that are a bit further away.
positive:
Decent buffet breakfast and friendly reception.
Those who dined in said the breakfast buffet was a decent proposal, with a wide assortment of fare on offer. Additionally, the staff on reception is said to be friendly and happy to help out, but not over the top, which is perhaps what caused a very small number of guests to find them rude.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Single rooms a bit cramped, with shared toilets.
Some of those who stayed in the single rooms at Weber found them to be too small for their liking, while others did not like the fact they had communal toilets accessed from the corridor. However, keep in mind that all showers are found in the rooms and some options with en-suite toilets are apparently available.
negative:
A small amount of noise possible.
The location was overall thought to be relatively peaceful, despite the proximity to the nightlife of Zülpicher Platz. However, a small number of guests did report some noise, so light sleepers should perhaps keep this in mind.
