Negative Reviews
negative:
Neighbourhood noisy and unappealing
Based on some guests' comments, it seems that the neighbourhood around this hotel is not particularly appealing. Also, since this hotel is on a crossroads, there can be a lot of traffic noise which is a cause of disturbance for those guests staying in the rooms facing the road.
negative:
Wi-Fi unreliable
The free Wi-Fi doesn't seem to work very well. Guests found it necessary to connect to the internet in reception where the signal was more reliable. Some were pleased to be able to use the internet available at the local McDonald's.
negative:
Smell of cigarettes
Village Inn Motel doesn't operate a no-smoking policy. Although some of the rooms are non-smoking, the hallways and public areas of the hotel apparently smell of cigarette smoke which some guests found unpleasant.
