Positive Reviews
positive:
Located near sites and public transport
You need not walk for more than twenty or thirty minutes to the main tourist sites of the city from the hotel, however both the Ségur and Saint-François-Xavier metro stations are ten minutes away on foot as are some bus stops, making for a convenient location while still being peaceful and off the beaten path.
positive:
Intimate and personable
Given the small size of the hotel, there is much more of a cozy atmosphere at the Villa Saxe Eiffel than many other four-star hotels, for example the wine on tap in the library, the ‘honesty system' at the bar where guests have a beverage and pay any time, etc.
positive:
Plenty of relaxing areas
From the gardens to the lounge bar, fitness centre and spa, the hotel offers guests many opportunities to recharge and relax in a peaceful environment away from the stress of the city centre.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No restaurant on site
Although breakfast is prepared by the hotel and can even be brought to your room, any meals thereafter will need to be eaten out as there is no in-house restaurant. Luckily several options are mere steps away, for example L'antre Amis, Lily Wang and Le Grand Bistro de Breteuil.
negative:
No parking spaces
For those using a private car, there is no designated parkin area, so you may need to look for street parking in the areas surrounding the Villa Saxe Eiffel.
negative:
Quite small rooms
The hotel's rooms, while being very zen and modern, are rather tight on space including hardly any closet space and perhaps not enough room for larger bags on longer trips. This is however not unusual for Paris hotels and the rooms are still well appointed and you can choose an upgraded room or a suite for more space.
