Positive Reviews
positive:
Walk to Salzburg Old Town, or jump on the bus.
Via Roma guests often mentioned that the Salzburg Old Town could easily be reached in a short, pleasant walk, although there are apparently trams and buses just outside to get you there even quicker if you desire.
positive:
Comfortable, clean rooms at a reasonable price.
Those who stayed here said the simple rooms here proved to be comfortable, clean and a few guests even mentioned views of the Hohensalzburg Fortress from theirs. The free parking was also greatly appreciated, and perhaps partially for this reason, guests thought the hotel to be reasonably priced — for Salzburg at least.
positive:
Courteous and helpful reception, tasty breakfasts.
Guests said the reception team was professional, courteous and quick to help in any way possible and there is reportedly a great Italian restaurant found on site. The breakfasts were also thought to be tasty, with a very wide range of fare on offer, although they were perhaps a touch on the expensive side according to a few people.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A little out of the centre, Wi-Fi not great.
A small number of those who stayed at Via Roma said they found it to be a little too far out of the way from the city centre or the Salzburg Old Town, although most people did not consider this an issue. On top of this, the Wi-Fi is said to sometimes not be very strong, so keep this in mind if you need to take care of some work.
