Warm welcome guaranteed
A friendly welcome seems guaranteed at the Tradesman's Arms and the on-going service seems relaxed yet efficient. The owners are clearly passionate about their pub - in fact, they love it so much that when the pub closed down in 2008, they bought the place!

Beautiful surroundings
There's little doubting the suitability of this pub for anyone who's after a rural retreat. Guests mention the gorgeous scenery, many of which can be seen from your room. Plus, despite its secluded setting, the A38 is close enough to make exploring the area easy.
positive:
Great dining and drinks
Guests are appreciative of the standard of the meals at the Tradesman's Arm with any less than favourable comments extremely few and far between. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced, a fact that shows in how fresh and delicious everything tastes.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Minor shortcomings in rooms
Although many guests are complimentary about the standard of the rooms, there do appear to be some shortcomings. More than one guest found the beds were uncomfortable and others thought the rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint.
negative:
Wi-Fi can be problematic
Several reviews indicate that you may not necessarily be impressed with the strength of the Wi-Fi signal. Guests occasionally found it impossible to get online in their room.
negative:
No Sunday roast
While dining at the Tradesman's Arms is generally a very positive experience, some guests did find the lack of a traditional Sunday roast a little disappointing. That said, there's plenty of interesting dishes to enjoy instead.
