The Social Hub is a three-star hotel with 250 rooms situated just outside central Rotterdam, Netherlands. It offers affordable accommodation for guests for a day or as long as a year too. The concept of the hotel was found to be very interesting by the guests who are studying. They can Check-in and stay in the hotel for as long as they want to especially during their exams. Ready meals were available and they could study the entire day without worrying about food. Moreover, the entire cost of the stay was very affordable.
Guests staying in the hotel could interact with many guests from different cultures, countries and communities. They could all get together and hang around in the gym, pool tables, lounge area or the gym. Most of the guests made friends from various places, which was good for their social development. It had the atmosphere of a university campus.
Since the hotel is located right opposite to the tram station, it is very convenient for guests to commute around without spending a huge amount on taxi fare. The Erasmus University is close by. Rooms were very spacious and neatly kept.
Few guests experienced severe water shortage while taking a shower. They had to wait for a long time till the water supply was resumed.
The fact that the hotel accepted only credit cards and no cash was not taken too well by some of the guests.
Some of the guests felt that the kitchenette was not well stocked and equipped with adequate number of cookware and dishes making it difficult for the guests to prepare their own meals.
