First-class breakfast
Almost all of the positive reviews were centred on the high quality breakfast offered daily. The freshly cooked breakfast was highly recommendable by most guests due to the high quality taste and wide selection of sausages, poached eggs, nice toasts, and one of the most favourite kippers all served in generous amounts!
positive:
Ideal location near Plymouth's attractions
The guesthouse has close proximity to the Hoe, Barbican, and Plymouth city centre, so guests are able to travel within the area conveniently. There are also a wide variety of dining options, and other major attractions which are just a short walking distance from the property.
positive:
Incredible showering facility!
Aside from the perfect size of the shower heads, guests were also impressed with the strong water pressure and excellent hot water temperature. The water from the shower was strong enough so guests were able to wash properly and there were also plenty of hot water available at any time.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Paid parking
Since there was no free on-site parking provided, guests had no choice but to park off street for an added cost. The parking spaces were also quite limited so guests had to park at the rear of the premises. They had to pay hourly until a specific time period and they had to obtain special passes from the host to avail discounts.
negative:
Rooms have thin walls
There were complaints about disturbing road noise, as well as loud noise coming from the other rooms. Loud conversations can be heard and even loud snoring which were uncomfortable for guests.
negative:
No on-site lift
Due to the lack of lift, guests had to manually climb the stairs with their luggage, which was quite difficult for elderly individuals or physically impaired. Therefore, guests are advised to request for rooms within the ground floor area.
