About The Mermaid Inn
A historic inn with its origins dating back to the 12th-century, The Mermaid Inn features a large open fireplace in its old-world bar. Rye Railway Station is roughly 400 metres away.
There are 31 rooms here, a range of single, twin, double, and family rooms, some with carved wood four-poster beds and beamed ceilings. All accommodation is en suite and equipped with a TV, while some lodgings have a view over the streets of Rye.
Pets are allowed to stay here on payment of an additional fee. Function rooms are available for events and there’s an outdoor terrace for guests to use. Both car parking and Wi-Fi are free.
The hotel restaurant features antique linen fold panelling and serves a menu of traditional British cuisine created with locally sourced ingredients. A range of ales, beers, wines, and spirits are served in the bar.
Rye Castle Museum is around 200 metres from The Mermaid Inn, and Camber Castle is almost three kilometres away.
