Positive Reviews
positive:
Beautifully presented rooms
Overall, guests have found the rooms here are beautifully presented. There are minor niggles about things like the number of towels supplied but there is really nothing to suggest that you will find the surroundings here anything but clean and comfortable.
positive:
Appealing location
Previous guests have rated the location of this hotel highly. Its rural setting offers an attractive place to relax and enjoy the scenery and, aside from very occasional plane noises, there's nothing to suggest you are so close to major transport routes and area attractions.
positive:
Enjoyable breakfast and cream teas
Not every guest has liked having to order breakfast the night before but most concede that the morning meal is of a good standard. Guests have found the food nicely prepared and generously sized. Because breakfast is pre-ordered, there is very little wait once you have sat down.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No evening meals available
Reviews reveal that a number of guests have been disappointed that they were unable to enjoy an evening meal on-site.There are alternative dining options in the area, of course, but some guests would have found it more convenient to dine at the hotel.
negative:
Wi-Fi could be improved
Feedback from guests suggests that the Wi-Fi here can be a little hit and miss. Not everyone has encountered problems but it does seem that there is at least potential to do so.
negative:
Occasional service related issues
This hotel changed hands in early 2016 and it does seem that the new owners are still finding their feet. Guests have found the couple a little nervous. Also, when responding to online criticism or suggestions, the owner can come across as fairly defensive and a little rude.
