Welcoming and friendly staff
Most guests have found the staff at the County Hotel to be friendly and welcoming. Some do mention that the breakfast service was a little chaotic due to one member of staff trying to juggle serving the meal with covering reception but the service otherwise seems to be fairly attentive.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Disappointment with breakfast
Although many guests enjoyed the breakfast at this hotel, others were a little disappointed. By far the most common complaint is the price of the meal which guests found excessive. The price is for a full English and many guests who ordered a lighter option were not offered a discount.
negative:
Some issues with rooms
Feedback about the rooms at the County Hotel is a little mixed. Some guests specifically describe the accommodation as clean and tidy but others highlight problems such as stained furnishings, poorly maintained door locks and problems with the heating.
negative:
Reports of noise
Guests who stayed in one of the rooms facing the road mention that they were disturbed by traffic noise. The problem doesn't seem to be excessive but may well affect light sleepers. It may pay to book early and request a room away from the road.
