Hostel-style, basic furnishings.
Do not expect luxurious rooms during your stay, according to reviews. Although many guests have commented on the cleanliness of the hotel, it has been noted that room furnishings are fairly basic. Several guests have commented that The Aqua has more of a hostel feel to it, although several have pointed out that the location and value for money more than compensate.
negative:
Thin walls allow some sound through.
One issue that has been flagged occasionally is the thin walls. Some sounds from neighbouring rooms and the hallway are reported to travel into the bedrooms, although for the majority of guests this hasn’t been an issue.
negative:
Prepare for a staircase to your room.
Prepare for some stairs during your stay. There is no lift at the hotel, which unfortunately means carrying your luggage up a couple of flights of stairs if you’re staying in a higher room. In many cases, staff are more than willing to assist with your luggage.
