Hotel Tarvic 2 (Sandown, United Kingdom)

Guests staying with children found there was so much to do to keep them entertained. The beach is literally on the doorstep at Tarvic Two and on rainy days the Isle of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle are within easy reach

The hotel scored top marks for cleanliness with many guests commenting on the spotless condition of the rooms and bathrooms. The helpful and friendly attitude of most of the staff added to an enjoyable stay.

The food is well prepared and tasty with lots of it! You can expect generous portions if you choose to stay here with many guests commenting favourably on the full English breakfast.

Despite the cleanliness of the rooms many holidaymakers found the accommodation lacking in comfort. The beds are hard and the single mattresses are reported as being particularly thin. Some rooms did not have a fitted wardrobe just a hanging rail for clothes which came as a disappointment.

The hotel is in need of renovation and in particular the exterior can be off putting and has been described as shabby, crumbling and not at all welcoming. The décor inside is also tired looking and many guests felt it would benefit from being updated, in particular the well worn carpets in public areas.

Although the sea views at the hotel are beautiful some rooms look out over a brick wall or the rubbish bins. To avoid disappointment it is best to request a sea view at the time of booking.
