Positive Reviews
positive:
Handy roadside location
This motel's location just off US Route 101 appealed to many guests. It put motorists within easy reach of the Levi's Stadium in San Jose for San Francisco 49ers games. It was also about 25 minutes' drive from central San Francisco. Non-motorists appreciated being 15 minutes' walk from Belmont Station, although dining options within walking distance were limited apart from a cafe next door.
positive:
Cheap and cheerful
Due to its reasonable rates, many travelers said they got fair value for money at this motel. Although the rooms only offered the basic amenities for washing and sleeping, they were reportedly more than sufficiently clean, comfortable and spacious for a shorter stay. There was praise for the modern decor and wood-effect flooring; extended stay rooms with kitchenettes won the most praise.
positive:
Pleasant personnel
Reviewers often described staff as pleasant, helpful and courteous. Guests usually experienced a swift check-in but sometimes there were mix-ups with reservations on arrival.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Unpopular Wi-Fi fees
Guests disliked paying extra for Wi-Fi access, especially as there were claims that the network was beset by slow speeds and a poor signal in some parts of the building.
negative:
Some criticism of rooms and facilities
Critics aimed most of their negative comments on cleanliness and maintenance at rooms in the older part of the property. Some rooms reportedly had poor TV reception or stained bedding. Moreover, visits from housekeeping were sometimes sporadic and it was occasionally claimed that pest control measures were inadequate. Trash in the grounds and sub-standard pool maintenance also drew criticism from reviewers.
negative:
Nuisance noises and odors
Noise from adjacent rooms, such as barking dogs, was a nuisance for some light sleepers, who often blamed thin walls for their plight. Some guests were annoyed to encounter smoky smells despite the motel's smoke-free policy.
