Positive Reviews
positive:
Get away from it all.
Palazzo Sant'Angelo offers the perfect opportunity to get away from it all. The terrace is the ideal spot to relax, with views over the canal, some suites overlook the Rialto Bridge, and guests love the bar, with outside seating, to watch the boats go by while enjoying a glass of wine.
positive:
Excellent hospitality.
Staff are friendly and hospitable, relaxed yet professional. Nothing is too much trouble and most guests find that every need is pre-empted.
positive:
Ideal location to explore the sights.
With its location on the Grand Canal and directly opposite a vaporetto stop, the hotel is ideally situated to explore the city, with easy access to all the top attractions. Most guests also say that it is easy to find; so no dragging your bags around the streets in the search for hidden doorways. Doges Palace, Rialto Bridge, restaurants and cafes are in the vicinity.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited facilities.
Facilities are fairly limited at the hotel; there are no in-room tea and coffee making facilities, no leisure amenities such as a pool, sauna or steam room (a rarity in Venice) and Wi-Fi, while free and available, can be slow.
negative:
Expensive bar drinks.
In comparison to other establishments in the city, some guests consider the drinks in the bar to be priced too high. However, the majority have made no comment.
negative:
Good, but sparse, breakfast.
The breakfast is said to be of excellent quality, but some feel there is too little choice. The breakfast room, itself, is also a nice place to be- elegant and regal, but fairly cosy during busy times.
