Positive Reviews
positive:
Fantastic location for Copenhagen harbour.
Scandic Front was found to occupy a fantastic location, close to the canals, opera house and plenty of dining options in cute and colourful Nyhavn, as well as within walking distance of most of the city’s tourist attractions and the Strøget shopping street. A Metro station a short distance away was also appreciated.
positive:
Wide range at breakfast.
Most of those who stayed really enjoyed the breakfast buffets, which had plenty of different options and was thought to be good to set you up for a full day of sightseeing, although a few people found it to be less than exciting.
positive:
Lovely staff, amenities, bicycles.
The staff here was found to be lovely, offering friendly service with a great standard of English. Both the Wi-Fi and air conditioning proved to be of a good standard and the bicycles on offer to guests were considered a nice little touch.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Construction works 2015.
As of writing in mid-2015, guests reported construction works going on around the hotel area, and in Copenhagen in general, with a few people reporting disturbance due from the early start times and an unfortunate amount of scaffolding marring the pretty area.
negative:
Rooms a bit outdated.
Guests found Scandic Front’s interior to be a little dated in rooms and public areas, with stained carpets, and furniture and walls showing signs of wear and tear.
negative:
Some small room issues.
A few issues have been brought up about the rooms by some, including that the bathrooms could be bigger, some rooms also seemed small, and that there was a lack tea and coffee facilities. On the other hand, other guests found the rooms to be good value, tidy and featuring comfortable beds.
