Located on a street lined by palm trees in the city of Chaweng, Thailand, The Samui Verticolor is a three-star hotel with 151 rooms. It is six miles away from the Gulf of Thailand. Modern rooms are equipped with flat screen television, satellite channels, tea/coffee making equipments, personal safe, refrigerator, telephone and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms are provided with rainfall showerheads and hair dryer. Suites have whirlpool tubs, pool views and separate living rooms. Room service is available. There is an outdoor swimming pool, poolside bar, meeting room and a fitness centre. Parking and Wi-Fi are complimentary. Shuttle service, laundry, luggage storage, tours/ticket and car hire are some of the facilities that can be availed by the guests. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning. Being located in the centre of the city was a huge advantage for the guests. The hotel is close to the Lamai Town and Chaweng Town. Lots of restaurants, shops and massage parlours are at a walking distance from the hotel. Beach is a stone's throw away from the hotel. Short distances saved a lot of taxi fare for the guests.
Most of the guests felt that the hotel was very affordable. Pool was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds available all the time. Pool towels could be taken from the pool bar. The onsite gym was quite functional. Car and motorbike rental facility offered by the hotel was very helpful for guests. Small touches like complimentary bottled water were appreciated by the guests.
Rooms were kept super-clean with no bugs or insects around. They have a separate shower and toilet. It was equipped with all the necessary amenities making it a very comfortable stay for the guests. Many guests felt that the beds were one of the most comfortable beds that they had ever slept in.
The elevator goes only up to the fourth floor, which was a huge inconvenience for guests who were staying on the fifth floor. They had to carry their luggage all by themselves to the top floor, which was tiresome.
Few guests experienced a water shortage and had to go without water for at least three hours. They felt that it is a very dicey situation where in the water supply might just go off at any hour of the day.
The Wi-Fi connection was very patchy where in the guests could not even check their e-mails.
