Not missing those details
For a budget choice, the details are over and above what it usually received. Not only is there a pool, but it is lushly landscaped and some rooms include balconies. The breakfast isn't just a cold continental offering, but includes hot choices and is served in a nice area where guests can relax and dine.
positive:
Busy, but quiet
The hotel is located in a very busy area, but the overnight stay is a quiet room. The proximity to interstates and many restaurants is a convenience and never becomes a problem with the noise. The rooms are quiet and peaceful and it's easy to forget the busy life outside the hotel doors.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Passing the buck
The hotel has been owned by several other chains in the past and appears dated and used. While there has been efforts to improve and refurbish, some decor and furnishings remain from times past.
negative:
Something smells off
Many rooms in the hotel smell of mustiness when first entering. The air conditioning actually worsens the smell situation. Also, although the hotel is advertised as "smoke free", many rooms have that distinctive cigarette odor.
negative:
Who goes there?
The hallways and interior of the hotel are very dark and some lights are turned off completely during later hours. This gives an overall bad first impression and makes guests uncomfortable when they have to go into those areas.
