Positive Reviews
positive:
Perfect for roaming around Rome.
As a visitor to Rome, one of your three wishes would be for a location from where you can access, with ease, the city's main attractions. That wish is granted here! Many attractions are just a walk away, so there are no expensive travel costs. The famous Spanish Steps, for instance, are right next door! It's difficult to imagine a better location than this.
positive:
Lots of space.
Rooms are comfortably furnished and very spacious. They reflect the grandeur of the 1500s when the emphasis was on space and style … rather than cramming as many tourists as possible into the smallest possible space. It's a nice and gracious building. Members of staff are friendly and helpful too.
positive:
You couldn't wish for a better breakfast.
Breakfast is served in your room and at a time requested by you. It is complimentary and far superior to ‘paid for' offerings in other hotels.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No hot water.
At best, shower water is tepid. It never gets to be hot. Mention it to members of staff and they'll attend to it immediately. All their efforts are in vain though. You won't get hot water here! *interestingly, they tend not to incorporate a shower curtain; so there are very few secrets ... and a lot of wet floors.
negative:
Difficult parking.
As with every establishment in this central Rome location, it's best to avoid driving and subsequent parking, if at all possible. Parking spaces are like gold dust!
negative:
A dusty Roman Holiday.
Everything is old and authentic - can't fault them on that. Many areas though, don't seem to have been dusted since they were created in the 1500s. The lobby doesn't give a good first impression.
