About Hotel Pimar & Spa
Situated in a prime spot right across from S’Abanell Beach,
Pi-Mar Hotel & Spa offers comfortable accommodation with excellent wellness
facilities close to the city centre.
The rooms have an understated modern feel to them, and feature en-suite bathrooms with hairdryer, air conditioning, minibars(fee), flat screen TV’s, in-room safes(fee), work desks and telephones.
The Pi-Mar has excellent wellness facilities, including gym, tennis court and spa area with indoor pool, Turkish bath, sauna jacuzzi and extensive treatments available
There is a buffet restaurant on-site that serves all three meals, concentrating mainly on delicious, and healthy, Mediterranean cuisine.
Of course it’s the beach right out front that’s the star attraction, but Blane as a whole has much of interest to holidaymakers. Also, Barcelona is just 45 miles away, and could conceivably be visited for a daytrip. This accommodation is also known as Pimar, Pimar Blanes, Pimar Hotel, and Pimar Hotel Blanes.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable location right on the beach
Of course it had to be the location that most impressed the
guests. It was described as right on the beach. If it were any closer to the
sea it would have to be a boat. Of course most guests had come to this part of Spain
mainly for the beach, so were very happy that the object of their travels was
right out front.
positive:
Very nice restaurant/bar area
While the food itself received very mixed reviews, the outlook from the restaurant/bar area received universal praise. It has a lovely terrace, which looks over the promenade to the sea beyond, and guests found this the perfect spot to chill out and watch the world go by.
positive:
Spotlessly clean
Several guests mention that their room was simply spotlessly clean at check-in, and this really set their mind at ease.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some questions about staff attitude
While the staff at Pi-Mar did also receive compliments, there were perhaps too many complaints for comfort. Guests mentioned that the staff often seemed stressed, resulting in them being curt, or even rude and unfriendly. Some speculated that the hotel was understaffed, but whatever the reason it did not leave a good impression.
negative:
Poor rear facing rooms
While guests said that the views over the Med from the front rooms were simply sublime, the views from the back rooms were said to be bad to the same degree. Of course, people being what they are, guests in the rear facing rooms felt envious, and worse than if no room in the hotel had any view at all.
negative:
Poor rooftop pool
Guests seemed not to like the rooftop pool area much, saying that the space was not utilised well, and that there was no sense of style or decoration up there.
