Hotel Monterey Hanzomon (Tokyo, Japan)

The hotel is conveniently located in the business district with many attractions easily accessible by foot or by metro with Hanzomon metro station being directly across the road. There are many cafes and restaurants as well as grocery store in close proximity to the hotel. Attractions such as the Imperial Palace, Nippon Budokan, Yasukuni Shrine and National Museum of Modern Art can be reached within 20-minutes' walk which the Tokyo Dome is 20-minutes with the metro.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, and the rooms have been described as beautifully decorated, clean and cozy and equipped with modern bathrooms. Many guests commented that the rooms are compact thought still a descent size with plenty of room for a chair, desk and suitcases. A range of complimentary toiletries are made available and guests were particularly delighted with the pajamas provided.

Many staff members speak English which makes communication easy, and guests commented that the staff are friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient at providing assistance.

The Japanese standard of room size is smaller than most would expect in the West, and some guests felt that the rooms were uncomfortably small and cramped.

Some guests complained that their rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke, while others found that the walls in some of the rooms were dirty and in need of repainting.

Some guests were disappointed in the buffet breakfast, reporting that the choice of items on offer was poor and that it was expensive for what was offered.
