Positive Reviews
positive:
Affordable comfort.
Many guests couldn't think of anything bad to say about this hotel. With no major complaints, guests were left to focus on the positive, which was the great value that included a comfortable bed, high quality linens and towels, and newer decor.
positive:
Pat on the back for housekeeping.
The housekeeping crew deserved a raise, according to guests who noticed immaculately clean rooms that were a pleasure to relax in. Several guests mentioned that even hard to reach or less noticeable areas like windowsills and under the bed appeared to be spotlessly clean.
positive:
Well located.
Guests were pleasantly surprised that they could get around London efficiently. With public transportation so close, all that was left to do was plan the most direct route. Attractions like the Tower of London, V&A Museum of Childhood, and Olympic Stadium were reached in no time by guests who were impressed with the great location.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Might be hot.
A few guests overheated at this hotel. It seems that an ineffective heating and cooling system sometimes does double duty on warming up the premises. When this happened, guests could immediately notice a sweltering heat in the corridors and in certain rooms, even during winter. Thankfully, windows opened in stuffy rooms, but this wasn't an ideal solution for many guests.
negative:
Earplugs anyone?
Guests staying in rooms on the street sometimes encountered noise from trains and pedestrians that disturbed their sleep. With a university in the area, late night weekend street noise could be a possibility.
negative:
Restaurant needs improvement.
While some guests were satisfied with the buffet breakfast, many felt that it was rather underwhelming. Guests thought that food needed to be replenished quicker, and guests found fault with several menu items. The good news, however, is that many local eateries are just down the street.
