Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable central location
Guests felt that the hotel was really in the perfect location for tourists. It is in the heart of the city’s historic peninsula, and many of the top attractions were said to be very nearby. Guests felt that both the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque were well within walking distance.
positive:
Excellent value for money
Guests overwhelmingly agreed that they had received excellent value for money. They felt that they had paid a very reasonable room-rate for a stylish hotel right in the very heart of the city.
positive:
Kind and helpful staff
Again and again guests would say how wonderful the staff at Leyenda were. While they were said to be friendly and to offer a warm welcome, what most impressed guests was their helpfulness. Several guests mentioned they had received top quality practical tourist advice from the staff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Unpleasant basement room
A number of guests unfortunate enough to be allocated to a basement room reported that it was definitely not what they were hoping for. Aside from the lack of light, they also didn’t like that it was right next to a social area where people socialize and smoke, sometimes making it difficult for them to get to sleep.
negative:
Poor soundproofing
This was perhaps the most common complaint. Guests said that the walls were “paper thin” and that they could easily hear normal sounds, like people talking, from adjacent rooms. This made the quality of their sleep completely dependent on the good manners of their neighbours.
negative:
Low water pressure
Guests complained that the water pressure was very low, resulting in a shower that was more like water dribbling than an actual shower.
