About Hotel Lemus Plaza
Situated very conveniently for both the National University
of Colombia and the US Embassy, Hotel Hotel Lemus Plaza is a boutique property
offering simple, but stylish, accommodation.
The nine rooms have a contemporary design and feel to them. The floors are gleaming wood and the rooms feature all you’ll need for a decent stay, including flat screen TV’s and telephones.
This is a boutique property and there are not many public facilities onsite. A shuttle is available to the embassy and Wi-Fi is free of charge and accessible throughout the property.
A full American breakfast is available onsite every day, and room service is available for the other two meals. There’s also a decent selection of restaurants and bars in the surrounding streets.
The US Embassy is just over a mile from Hotel Hotel Lemus Plaza, while the National University is just a couple of hundred yards away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Quiet and convenient area
Those who were looking for a relaxing stay, or to visit the nearby US Embassy or University, were generally happy with the location of the hotel. The immediate neighbourhood was said to be very quiet, so guests did not seem to have a problem sleeping and relaxing.
positive:
Comfortable beds and rooms
A remarkable number of guests mentioned that they found not only the beds, but really their whole room, to be very comfortable. It seems that the mattresses suit a broad range of preferences and the rooms are designed with comfort in mind.
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
It was almost impossible to find a harsh word written about the staff. On the contrary, many guests said that they were very friendly and created a very welcoming atmosphere.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast a bit disappointing
Guests did not seem to think much of the breakfast at the hotel. The main problem seemed to be that it was the same every day, so guests staying for more than a day or two quickly got bored. It was also mentioned that there really wasn't much by way of variety even if staying for just one day.
negative:
Problems with the Wi-Fi
Too many guests to mention reported having problems with the Wi-Fi during their stay, with most saying that, on occasion, it was simply not available. Those who have an urgent need for reliable connectivity may need to make other arrangements.
negative:
No effective heating
A number of guests pointed out that Bogotá can get cold at times, and that the rooms either ad no heating at all, or inadequate heating, leading to some feeling a bit chilly in their rooms.
