Conveniently situated just off I-580, La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Livermore offers reliable chain hotel accommodation combined with fantastic leisure amenities. The rooms are simply decorated and have a bit of a classical feel. Each features flat screen TV, fast Wi-Fi, microwave, minibar, coffee maker, work desk, telephone, iron and alarm clock. Some rooms also have jetted baths. The hotel has simply fantastic leisure facilities, including an indoor pool and hot tub, sauna and fully equipped fitness center. Business guests may be more impressed with the business center and meeting facilities, while those who have been on the road for a while can make use of the guest laundry. Motorists will be happy to find plenty of free parking on-site. A comprehensive breakfast of continental staples, plus hot foods such as eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy, is served daily. The hotel is on the outskirts of Livermore. Downtown is approximately five miles to the west.
Reading the reviews, it was like a tale of two hotels, but only one hotel was being reviewed. The rooms seem to be in the process of being renovated, with those who had been allocated a new room very impressed with the comfort and style. Those with the older rooms were less impressed.
While the breakfast in general got very mixed reviews, guests definitely enjoyed one part of it, the waffles. Like at other La Quinta properties, guests get to make these themselves. Guests found this charming, and liked that the waffles ended up on their plate piping hot.
This was by far the feature that most impressed guests. In fact, they liked not only the pool, but the hot tub and sauna as well. They were happy to have a full suite of leisure facilities to make use of.
While guests enjoyed the convenience of being so close to the interstate, they did not like the noise so much. Guests said that the rooms were not well soundproofed and the sound of cars speeding by could be heard in the rooms.
While it appears that the rooms are in the process of being renovated, as of May 2016 it seems the project is not yet complete. Guests allocated to older rooms were not at all impressed. They felt that they were long overdue for a full makeover and were disappointed that had not been allocated a newly renovated room.
Though guests found it difficult to put into words exactly what it was about them that they disliked, several seemed to find the pillows especially uncomfortable.
