The hotel is family owned and guests found the staff to be friendly and very accommodating in helping book activities and giving tips and recommendations. The breakfast buffet was thought to be very good, including hot and continental it, and the home cooked meals were also thought to be worth trying at least once during your stay.
The generally popular Mexican-style decor, and the spacious, warm and clean rooms went down well with those who chose to stay here. Other extras were also well-received, like the hot tub and being able to rent bikes, as well as the complimentary parking and even the optional service of being woken up if the auroras happen to appear.
A small number of guests staying at Kriunes said they had difficulty finding the hotel, and others made sure to mention that it was only really accessible if you have a car, but at least one guest said they were given a lift to a nearby bus stop after their stay.
