This hotel sets its rates so that they are quite affordable to all. You'll find that you can get a great deal on a weekend break with breakfast thrown into the bargain. It's not perfect, but it's not bad value for money.

It's most important in the chilly Scottish air to have a warm room and this hotel has exactly that. The rooms are comfy and while not very modern, are still packed with enough amenities to keep you happy throughout your stay.

There is a bus stop right across the road that will take you into town while the train station is just a short taxi ride away. You'll also love this place if you're a golfer as there are two courses within five miles of the hotel.

The hotel has refurbished some areas, but the guests that have stayed here claim that the rooms aren't really up to scratch. They say that that you feel like you're back in the eighties but that the rooms are still comfortable enough.

The food served up here isn't too bad, but it's nothing to write home about. You'll find that it's pretty standard pub grub and not very well made at that. On top of it all, it's also a bit overpriced for what it is.

The people that work here seem a little reluctant to help out their guests unless they really have to. Some guests have complained that they had to wait a long time for their rooms or to get served in the restaurant even when it wasn't busy.
