Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean and comfortable.
Guests had a hard time finding fault with great accommodation. Everything was cleaned to a high standard, and perhaps most importantly in sunny Spain, the air-conditioning was as good as it gets. Many guests recommended splurging on a sea view room for gorgeous views of the never-ending beach.
positive:
A+ customer service.
Staff really looked after guests, and they were one of the main reasons why visitors would return. From restaurant staff to the front desk, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves at this family-run hotel.
positive:
Convenient to everything.
Ten minutes was all it took for guests to walk to the town centre, and many said that Horitzo was located in a prime location on the promenade. The train station was also easy to get to for access to Barcelona and beyond, and nightlife, restaurants, and a nice variety of local shops were a short stroll away.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Sound insulation not always up to par.
Noisy neighbours were sometimes the only negative aspect of this hotel. Thin walls did little to conceal sounds from guests next door, and an unlucky few had to contend with more noise than they would have liked.
negative:
Gym could be better.
Avid fitness buffs were somewhat let down with the fitness facilities. The gym was described as small, with an equally small selection of equipment that lacked instructions. However, there is some good news, which is that weight lifters had plenty of choice.
negative:
Inconsistent Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi reportedly worked great in common areas like the lobby, but was shaky at best in guest rooms. If a strong Internet signal is important, you might want to bring back-up measures like an Internet stick.
