About Hôtel Josse
Hôtel Josse offers modern, typically Mediterranean-style accommodation, just a minute's walk from the beach in Antibes.
Some of the en-suite bedrooms offer panoramic views over the coast, with others overlooking the gardens. All come with air conditioning and flat-screen televisions with international channels. Suites offer an additional sitting area, which can be converted into a separate sleeping area for families.
Hôtel Josse operates a 24-hour front desk with parking bookable for a fee. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout and guests can relax in the shared lounge or on the terrace.
The hotel’s terrace makes a nice setting for breakfast or to enjoy a drink from the 24-hour bar. There are also several eateries by the beach, including the Bistro de la Plage, serving simple snacks, just a two-minute walk away.
The Picasso Museum can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes whilst the harbour of Antibes is about 1500 metres away. The ancient Fort Carré is 20 minutes away by car.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Very spacious rooms
It's not too much of an overstatement to say that a number of guests were astonished by the size of their rooms. Considering they were in a fairly prime spot in the Riviera, right on the coast, and in a three star hotel they did not expect the rooms to be as large as they were.
positive:
Surprisingly quiet
Many were surprised, again, that their front facing rooms were fairly quiet at night with the windows closed, despite facing the coastal road just yards away. It seems that these rooms are well soundproofed.
positive:
Good location
Though not mentioned as much as one might expect, several guests did comment that they really liked being right by the beach. Also, the centres of Juan Les Pins and Antibes were within walking distance for most, and offered lots of interest themselves.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast gets a thumbs down
There was a fair amount of unhappiness as far as the breakfast was concerned. For a start many found it to be quite expensive, but then in addition the expensive price bought you a fairly meagre breakfast, with cooked options attracting a surcharge. In the end, since it wasn't usually included in their room-rate, many guests simply took their breakfast at nearby cafes.
negative:
Spotty Wi-Fi
It seems that the Josse didn't escape the curse of the hotel Wi-Fi. A large number of guests describe the service as very unreliable. Their connection was always being lost. In any event, guests with an urgent need for reliable connectivity might consider activating data roaming.
negative:
Limited and expensive parking
Motorists seemed generally unhappy with the parking arrangements. On-site parking was described as limited and very expensive. Motorists will have to plan carefully to make sure they secure nearby parking, especially in season.
