Positive Reviews
positive:
Very convenient for St. Lazare Station
It appears that many of the guests were travelling to or from St. Lazare Station. They found the hotel perfect for their needs since it was so easy to stroll to or from the station, even with bags. Of course the location is also convenient for the rest of Paris. There are metro stations nearby that can carry guests to all parts of the city.
positive:
Good restaurants nearby
Perhaps this wasn't surprising, but guests mentioned that they found some really good restaurants within very short walking distance from the hotel. They never felt like they had to travel very far to eat well.
positive:
Decent breakfast
While not rated as excellent, several guests thought the breakfast was wholly creditable, and had enough taste to keep the interested, and quantity to last them into the morning.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Teeny tiny lift
Like perhaps most buildings in central Paris, the lift at the hotel was described as exceptionally small. Those who are claustrophobic should expect to have to take the stairs to and from their rooms.
negative:
No air conditioning
Several guests mentioned the lack of air conditioning as a significant problem. Of course a busy city can get very hot in summer, and guests travelling in that period certainly noticed the absence of air conditioning.
negative:
Exceptionally small showers
A large number of guests pointed out that their shower was exceptionally small. They felt that even a normal size person really couldn't use it to shower comfortably. It seems that only some rooms have the small showers, so it would be worth discussing this with reception staff when checking in.
