Positive Reviews
positive:
Solid accommodation for airport layover
There really were no guests who felt that this was some sort of amazing hotel with fantastic amenities or service. However, they were not really expecting this, but just a solid place to sleep, and perhaps eat, while on a quick airport layover. Guests felt that the hotel was more than adequate for this purpose.
positive:
Lunch and dinner both excellent
While guests did have some reservations when it came to the breakfast, they were very pleasantly surprised when it came to the quality of the lunch and dinner offered, saying it had more in common with a good independent restaurant than one that was part of a mid-range chain-hotel.
positive:
Good soundproofing
While only directly mentioned a couple of times, it seems that the rooms really are well soundproofed. There were no complaints of jet or other noise disturbing the guests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast is poor value
While the other two meals were generally well-liked, several guests mentioned that the breakfast available was poor value. It was described as a pretty basic continental or English breakfast at a price too high for what was offered. If possible, it was suggested you take your breakfast elsewhere.
negative:
Limited supplies of tea and coffee
This surprisingly specific complaint was made a few times. Guests felt that the in-room hospitality tray was quite poorly stocked, perhaps by an accountant rather than someone in the hospitality trade. In any event, after no time it was empty and guest were left high and dry.
negative:
Questions regarding staff attitude
Though the staff did also receive compliments, there were perhaps too many complaints to be ignored. Guests mentioned that many of the staff could be quite unhelpful, leaving guests to fend for themselves when they required assistance.
