Ensana Grand Margaret Island is a 4-star hotel in the parklands of Budapest’s Margaret Island, 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre. The large park-like surrounds of Danubius Grand Margitsziget on Margaret Island were popular with guests for walking or jogging, the room views either looked out over greenery or the Danube River and the area is quiet and remote enough, but the regular bu

You will find the hotel to be charmingly traditional, with complimentary coffee and croissants even if you do not book breakfast, an olde worlde air and large, well-maintained old rooms

Danubius Grand Margitsziget’s sister hotel next door has a fantastic thermal spa facility, which guests have enjoyed to no end, especially when it can be reached without leaving the hotel by means of an underground access pathway.

With no shops nearby, and a decent walk, ferry or bus journey needed to many of Budapest’s main attractions, those without a car may find the location a bit too remote for their liking.

While many of the hotel staff members received glowing reviews for their responsiveness, friendly attitude and good directions, others, especially those in the restaurant, were found to be less than enthusiastic in guest interactions.
