Right on the Blackpool Promenade, the Earlsway Hotel is a good budget option right at the centre of the action. The Blackpool Tower and Nickleodeon centre are just a short stroll away. Front facing rooms have views over the Irish Sea, and all feature private bathrooms, TV’s and hospitality trays. The Earlsway has a small play area for the children off the lobby, and for the adults there’s a sea facing bar, a great place to watch the sunset over a drink. Breakfast is served on-site, and the proprietors are happy to accommodate special dietary requirements if given notice. Otherwise, there are many cheerful option on the promenade right outside. Being on the promenade, the Earlsway is close to many of Blackpool’s attractions. The Central Pier is just 300 yards away, while the Sea Life Blackpool is only a few more steps further. For the kids, the Sand Castle Water Park is just one mile to the south.

While there were certainly no shortage of complaints, even those who did have issues mentioned that the Earlsway has a great position right on the promenade. They liked that so many of Blackpool's attractions were such a short walk away, and the fact that the promenade and beach were right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast has been described as a highpoint of the hotel. Guests seem quite satisfied that it sets them up for the day. A couple also mentioned that the owner is more than happy to try to meet guests' individual dietary requirements.
While not a universal problem, there are many very negative comments made by guests regarding the cleanliness of their rooms. Some complain of mould and dirt in the showers, and also not being able to see out the windows because they are so dirty. Others have no problem at all, so it seems that cleaning may be a bit inconsistent.
There is no parking at the hotel itself, and because of its location on the promenade it's difficult to find open parking nearby.
Several guests mention either an odd or foul smell when entering the hotel. They describe it as perhaps being rising damp/mould, or even sewage. Like with the cleaning issues, this isn't universal, so there may be a problem which can be masked, but is not always done so successfully.
