Positive Reviews
positive:
Very reasonable shuttle form the airport
Again and again guests mention the hotels airport shuttle. They found that it tended to work very well for them in normal operating hours, with reliable pick ups, but more than this, they considered the rate charged very good indeed.
positive:
Surrounding area quite nice
Guests appeared very pleasantly surprised by the town of Hoofddorp itself. The cafes, restaurants and other facilities in the town were within walking distance of the hotel, and guests found that it was in fact a peaceful and charming place.
positive:
Decent food in the restaurant
While the reviews were inevitably mixed, the balance was definitely to the good. For the most part guests liked the food at the restaurant. Those who perhaps did not like the cuisine on offer certainly had a lot more options in the surroundings, so would not need to miss out.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Reception staff sometimes unfriendly
While the staff in general also came in for a fair amount of praise, there were quite a few complaints that the reception staff were either unfriendly, uninterested or both. It didn't detract too much from the hotels other positive points, but guests felt their experience would have been much better if the reception staff had been a bit more cheerful.
negative:
Business rooms without desk space
It was mentioned that the rooms in the business section are designed in such a way that there is no open work space. Of course guests found this very peculiar and inconvenient.
negative:
A bit of a noisy environment
While guests said the surroundings were relatively quiet, De Beurs is an airport hotel, and so has people leaving for the airport, or arriving, at all hours. Sound insulation may not be that great since guests speak of being disturbed by there comings and goings when they were sleeping.
