The location of the inn is great. You can just about walk to everything like the beach and all types of entertainment. The beach is lovely as well. The brief drive to Laguna along the coast highway is awesome.
If you are lucky, perhaps you will get a room with a fantastic ocean view. Having such a view is the icing on the cake.
The restaurant is not bad and the bar is pretty ok as well. The menu is worth taking a look at for dinner, forget breakfast.
Puddles of water in the room, fridge that does not work, stains on the mattress, tired looking décor, mold in the shower tiles, electrical devices that don't work like the TV remote and lamp, old carpet, chipped furnishings, a continental breakfast that's not continental at all, and a host of other things. The inn is not a cheap motel, yet you will find motels in much better condition. There's nothing upscale about the inn except the location.
There is not enough staff. The staff that are working are not courteous at all. Snide remarks, waiting long periods for service, and simply unorganized is not what you expect for the price you pay.
Early in the morning the noise begins. The delivery and garbage trucks, the street cleaner, dogs barking, airplanes flying, it's a circus. If you happen to be in a room where the water drips or the air conditioning is loud, you can forget it! The inn supposedly has double-paned windows, but if your room is right in the midst of the noise, the windows don't help too much.
