Rooms have that sleek and modern look, with cool tile flooring, and feature air conditioning, minibar, large LED TV with international channels, in-room safe, hairdryers and tea/coffee stations. The superior rooms have free in-room Wi-Fi. There is a small wellness area that offers professional massage services team room and sauna. There are also extensive meeting and event spaces for any size group. A simple buffet breakfast is available every morning, and there are several restaurants on-site offering a wide array of cuisines. There is also a bar selling drinks and snacks open 24 hours. The Diamond City Mall is about a mile from Gideon Batam, while Hang Nadim Airport is just 10 miles away.
This is perhaps the things guests most like about Gideon Batam. The location is described as ideal for those who want to “shop till they drop”, and also for those who want to be a bit daring and try some great restaurants in the streets and markets surrounding the hotel.
Although guests never claimed that they received spectacular value for money, most who mentioned value were quite happy that they received what they expected, based on the room rate and star rating of the hotel.
The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished, and guests tended to like the clean, modern lines, and simple primary colours, used in the design. They definitely were not of the opinion the rooms needed an update.
