    Great location near the beach

    While the hotel is not right on the beach, this did not seem to matter to any guests. They describe the beach as just a short stroll away, and they seemed to be happy to be in a bit of a quieter street anyway.

    A surprising number of guests commented on the breakfast, saying that it was very good and just what they needed to start their day. The variety and quantity seemed to be what most impressed.

    Despite being so close to the beach and the city amenities, guests mentioned that there really was no external noise to speak of. It seems the hotel is in a quiet side street that doesn't get many cars or people passing by, leading to uninterrupted sleep for its guests.

    Exceptionally poor Wi-Fi

    This was without a doubt what most frustrated guests during their stay at El Palmar. Again and again they mentioned that the Wi-Fi simply didn't work effectively. Certainly not in their rooms, and often not when they were much closer to the router as well.

    No air conditioning

    It seems that air conditioning was sorely missed by guests who travelled in the summer months. They felt that, without it, their rooms simply got too hot to be truly comfortable.

    Pool is unheated

    While only mentioned a couple of times, it seems that the pool is unheated. While this didn't seem to be a major issues for those travelling in summer, those travelling in the shoulder season found a pool too cold to use, even if that particular day was nice and warm.
