The location of this hotel, quite simply, is outstanding. The Ponte Vecchio, Florence Cathedral, the Medici Chapels plus local markets and a grocery store as well as the main train station are all in close proximity of this property. This ease of access to central Florence made this hotel incredibly popular with those in the city on short stays who were looking to make the most of their time in Tuscany's capital.

This small, family-run property has earned heaps of praise for its overall ambience. Rooms and common areas are noted for being clean and tidy, but the hotel's well-maintained appearance was only enhanced by its staff, who are helpful and efficient.

Frequent visitors to the country commented that, by Italian standards, rooms here tended toward the larger end of the scale. This came as a delightful surprise, as did the solid air conditioning and good breakfast offerings. The self-service coffee was a particularly nice touch.

The Wi-Fi service here was incredibly frustrating. Guests reported an intermittent signal and found that, overall, the hotel's coverage was very weak.

Many commented that the mattresses here are hard, bordering on downright uncomfortable.

A high number of guests - and especially those who booked this property via a third-party website - experienced problems with double billing here. This caused no end of chaos and confusion, ending many stays on a rather unpleasant note.
