Positive Reviews
positive:
Lakeside location is a major bonus
A great many guests loved the fact that this hotel is within such easy reach of chief attractions like the opera house and the Bahnhofstrasse shopping area. Not surprisingly, being right by the lake was also seen as a big vote-winner, particularly by summertime visitors as it meant they could enjoy a refreshing dip whenever they liked.
positive:
Service is nothing short of exemplary
Friendly, attentive and with the kind of ‘can do' attitude you dream of encountering in a hotel setting; it's no surprise to discover many visitors said nothing but highly appreciative things about the service proffered here.
positive:
Views are just sensational
Whilst the views over Zurich — a very picturesque city — are very impressive, it is the vistas from the rooms facing the lake which travellers fell in love with most. Numerous guests agreed that being able to gaze upon this glorious expanse of water first thing in the morning was worth paying a little extra for.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Stuffy rooms need some decent air-conditioning
Very few visitors who've stayed at this hotel during the warmer months have been impressed by the stifling heat they were forced to put up with in their rooms. Amazingly, a fan (available upon request) is the only air-conditioning measure available here.
negative:
Entrance isn't very appealing
It has been observed that the entrance to this four-star property - wedged between two car sales showrooms - isn't particularly elegant or welcoming. Most travellers agreed that, as first impressions go, this is pretty weak.
negative:
Gym is small and limited
A significant number of guests have been distinctly underwhelmed by the somewhat cramped and poorly equipped gym (exercise room) at this property.
